Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Ok this is ridiculous, I took 10 mg of Coumadin night before last and 12.5 last night and my INR went...........DOWN? It was 1.8 and now its 1.5 Good Grief, they gave me an extra 10 mg dose of Coumadin this morning to see if we can get the down turn to start going back up. They will re test this afternoon to see if any change and if it starts going up the I can go home tonight or tomorrow, and yes I am being covered with the 80 mg of lovenox twice a day until my INR goes back up to therapeutic.

Did they say what can cause that? Have you cut out too much Vit k foods? I'll keep you in my prayers.

Correction- I should have said, "Have you been eating too MANY foods w/vit K?". My INR went too high when I didn't eat enough so they told me to eat more and now INR is right in middle of 2-3 range.

LOL I wish that was the cause. NO They took me off Coumadin and Lovenox when I tried to do the hemorrhaging this last weekend to get me to heal. Now i just have to get back on track.

Took me six weeks to get my INR from 1.1 to 2.0 after my hip replacement in December. I was only off it for four days (bridged with Lovenox) before we re-started the Coumadin on the evening post-op.

For some reason it is hard to get back to where we need to be after stopping it even for a couple of days.

It took me a good 2 weeks after reversing my blood for a filter insertion. I had to take coumadin along with Lovenox shots 2x a day. But once theraputic it has been a constant 2.7 for about a month now. How did you know you were hemmoraging? I often wonder how I would know it it were internal.

Just sending good wishes your way that everything will sort itself out and you'll be back home very soon. To me it seems like every day in hospital feels more like a week and its really hard to relax and enjoy the rest! Good luck with your next INR test -

dlove, the hemorrhaging was caused from the polyps being removed after a colonoscopy. I was passing about 1to 1-1/2 cups of blood so was very obvious in my case.

Whoo Hoo my monitor tested me at 2.6 this morning, so as soon as the lab tests come back to confirm it, I'll be set to go home.
