Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
I did a search here for migraine, but all I really came up with were people who talked about getting headaches from their meds, rather than headaches going away.
I've recently followed up on some lingering problems (fatigue, muscle pains, another more "interesting" thing) and these are pointing towards some autoimmune problem(s) and apparently APS wasn't properly investigated so that remains on the cards. Another set of appointments at the hospital :-) ...
Before my dvts and embolisms I did have lots of headaches a few months before...
When I was on warfarin, I had the same sense that the warfarin was helping. I get this sense that my head feels cloudy every day. Almost like my blood is too thick in my head. Aspirin or warfarin seems to clear that cloudy feeling up. I still get severe migraines about 3 to 5 days a month that are not prevented with aspirin or warfarin, but on other days I wouldn't trade my aspirin for anything. Prior to my PE I was addicted to Excedrin. I thought it was the caffeine. Now I am convinced it's really the aspirin that was making me feel good every day. Post PE I just do aspirin instead of Excedrin.
