Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Hi there my friends!
I tried to find the post from Shilosmom, from a couple weeks ago but I dunno where it went grrr. But there is a chest condition that I seem to be fitting the symptoms of.
I know that Sharon and Shilosmom has been told they have it, its a long C ... ( darn medical jargan - feel ya on that pleinbe!)
I am seeing the pulmonologist in a couple weeks and would like to bring this up as I have been having the same sympthoms as described by sharon and shilosmom.
I have been told that it is annoying condition that will heal eventually, but wondering if someone can give me the name?
Thanks,
Ashley.
Im sad that I might have this, but I think I feel ok with suffering now as long as it will heal with time...

OK, another strange question for you guys. One of the strangest symptoms that started right after my PE hit that clued me in that something was wrong was that I started yawning like crazy. The first time I really remember noticing was like the day after it hit and I was standing washing dishes and I could NOT STOP YAWNING!! I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
You guys are the best!
BTW - DERO? have you heard for courtmuffin? I extended my cel number for her to contact me anytime but I havnt heard from her, im hoping all went well with her parents!
Yeh I experience.. slight pressure, kinda constricting feeling on the chest wall across the chest, it feels like muscular tiredness and aches, and sometimes the actually bone inbetween my breast is sore to the touch and i sometimes have sharp pains, it seems to come up like every weekend unfortunatly... sometimes it lasts only an hour sometimes hours...and then the instensity goes down and I will feel it a little the next day. But I remember when you posted on this and lol I asked you what a sternum was hehe! but yeh i experience the same thing, and I talked to sharon yesterday and I do not feel the pressure as bad as she describes but she does feel like soreness through the chest wall and the tenderness in the bone between her breasts as well. Hmm, well Im happy to not be alone.
Yes I hope that it has improved ...
I was going to ask how Courtney's parents were doing too. I hope her mom is doing better now. And does anyone know how Tom (RetiredNavy) is doing after his surgery on Monday?
As for the Costrochondritis/Tzietsie's syndrome, I was told that it would eventually heal on its own. My hematologist tried to give me Capsacin to use to help with the symptoms since I can't get comfortable enough to sleep at night since its so bad now that its cold. Unfortunately the capsacin burned way too much for me and so I couldn't use it. Thanks Sarah for the tip on the heating pad. Did your dr really say we could have a muscle relaxer? I am going crazy lately with this so maybe I will call my pulmonologist back and see if I can take that. Anyone else have any tips? Thanks.
