Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

Last month of warfarin

hello everyone 


I fall off the 3rd floor onto the paving last year(10/10/2015) , broke both my legs and pelvic bone,I had a PE during my two months stay at the hospital,


since then I have been on warfarin ( current INR 2,02 ) which is good . My worry is I am due to stop taking the Warfarin in November 2016 and i worry if i won't have blood clots in the future . 


I am very blessed and grateful to be alive !!!!

Of course, it is possible to re-clot, but you had a VERY clear cause for your clots originally so hopefully you can avoid any more major falls like that and you'll stay in the clear. Of course, if you do have an injury, let docs know about your clotting history and hopefully they'll be very proactive about trying to prevent any more.

Truthfully, no one can guarantee that you will or you won't clot again. Some folks clot once and gone on with their lives, never to clot again. (You could be one of them--I think most people are.) Others of us are less lucky.

Either way, you're more informed about clots now, you probably know what they feel like and you'll know what to do if you feel that way again, and you'll be proactive about preventing more clots in the future in risky situations. Hopefully, you'll be fine.

Congrats on your recovery! Sounds like a long road and it is great that you're finally getting off the warfarin!
