By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
Okay when you first had your PE's did the heat seem to bother you more then normal?
It seems like the heat is really bothering me a lot more then normal this year. I am 3 weeks out from being admitted to the hospital with PE's in both lungs and then later they found 2 blood clots in my right leg.
Heat has been bothering me more the last couple of summers partly due to the medicine I am on but it seems with the recent change in temperature recently ( now in the upper 90's & 100), the heat is really taking a toll on me.
Also, is it normal to have all over body aches and pains?
Last night I had a rough night trying to get to sleep as my poor body just hurt and ached all over.......kind of like i had been in an accident or fallen down some stairs. I am better this morning but just wondered.
Just seems this week with the higher temperatures, I am having a harder time with breathing,etc. So I am trying to stay in under the AC and rest as much as possible but with an active 5 year old that isn't always possible to do!

I never did get the aches and pains you mention, but I could see how that could happen if your body is having to work overtime to get enough air and cool down.
My mom suggested that, since the body expels warm breath to help get rid of excess heat, it might just be doubly hard to get comfortable in hot weather if your lungs aren't working properly.
The good news is that it seems to improve over time!
