By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

has anyone been recommended the flu jab for this year or had one?
Going to ask about it at my appointment this week but last time I had one felt ill for ages after.
Wouldnt want anything to set me back so may go for it anyway

I usually have the flu jab each year, I haven't had any side effects from it in the past.
You have just reminded me about it!
If Dr says its ok, I will definitely have it.

Thanks. Think I am heading for a jab as well. Spoke to GP today and he said in the first year we are in an at risk group. Just going to double check with hospital docs on Thursday when I go but if he says yes I will.
Not too bad thanks. Just got first cold but seems to have stayed in head and not on chest. Fingers crossed.

When I feel like that I just remember how much better I am today than I was when I was taken back into hospital overnight, 4 weeks ago with chest pain, tachycardia,short of breath.
I see the cardiologist on 2nd Oct for the results of the 5 day cardiac monitor I had on.
For the next 4 weeks I have a cardiocall (like a pager!) which records when I have any symptoms.
Hope your cold is better soon.
