Feeling so nauseous

Hi everyone. I have had terrible nausea for 3 days now since my PE. I cannot eat anything as it is too hard to swallow without wanting to throw up. I also have several trips to the toilet a day which are not normal. It is really debilitating and worrying and it seems to be getting worse. My doc has given me something for it but it isn't working. Getting desperate. Did anyone else experience this?
Ps - I was very anxious and thought it was this but I have had a night's sleep and a calm pill so am ok on that front but my nausea hasn't improved - it is much worse.

this seems to be very common.i could not believe how well i felt in the bed . as soon as the nurses started walking me it was with a barf bucket follow by a chaser of zofran. every time. i don't know if you are still in the hospital but if you are ask them to check you blood pressure when the nausea starts. if not get a blood pressure checker.? when i would start the walk my blood pressure and o2 was ok as soon as we started i would get nausea and my o2 was in the low 80's and my bp would tank to as low as 60/40 and stay there for hours. i am 3 months out slept with the barf bucket again last night bp was 100/60 hr 100. i was told this has a lot to do with the nausea. that the body is in shock and doesn't remember how to regulate those functions. not every one has this problem. or my doctors favorite answer when dealing with me is you are very SPECIAL, UNIQUE. it will improve and lesson in severity and frequency keep fluids, puddings crackers anything you think will stay down near you and get it in while the nausea is hiding.

So sorry that you're feeling so bad. Some of the other posters said that they did have nausea as a reaction to the meds, so that could be happening to you too. Or I suppose that you could "just" have a flu bug simultaneously with the PE recovery. From my admittedly limited knowledge, though, it seems unlikely that the digestive upsets are related to the PE itself or its complications.

Excellent that you had a good night's sleep. I hope you start feeing better real soon

Thank you for your comments. I haven't eaten properly for a week and worse in the last few days so the nausea is getting me down and making me feel very weak.
But my count is now at 2.1 which is the highest it has been so that is some good news!

are you feeling any better yet? nausea is the worst feeling whats bad is after awhile the doc start blowing you off. be careful try your best at keeping something down take care

I was so bad this morning when I went for INR they called a doctor. They examined me but didn't find anything. My INR was 3.5 so they given me a day off Warfarin and will change to Coudamin soon. I still feel pretty terrible though with nausea. I hope it is just the meds getti g out of my system but I am worried.

sometimes it helps when they have mercy and give you an iv of fluids and zofran to rehydrate you. it can reset your chemical balance. if it get to bad they can usually do that even in urgent care because boy they see me come take one look and get the bag ready and it really does help in kind of playing catch up. it will get better.
