Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
I was told that walking was the best exercise, preferably outdoors as it has more feel good factor and is better for you than a treadmill, preferably not alone at the beginning but if needs be stay in populated areas and its a good idea to take your phone. Carry your anticoagulant information, walk a circular route from home so you are not to far away if you have had enough. He said dont over do it and above all listen to your body, it will tell you if you are doing to much.
If you do join one of the classes at school I would suggest you let them know your situation and above all as my consultant said, listen to your body. A class at your school would also have the advantage of you defiantly not being alone and I would find that reassuring.
