I was wondering if anybody currently has gout and taking anticoagulants. During my hospital stay 3 days in my gout came bak swelling in my foot big time it reaaly hurts. I was able to get rid of it withen about 7 days. My DR gave me Allopurinol once aday 300mg and said to take daily untill my PE was fully recovered. Over time I only had swelling like this 2 or 3 times in the last 7 -8 years . He told me it was from the stress of the PE and recovery. I have not changed my diet at all even with the PE. I had gone thru with a dietician over the years and have gone thru some stuff about Vitamin K with him also. I was able to stay clear for along time now with a steady diet of Cherries every other week. I tried the Cherrie thing the last few days and no dice its not working. My doctor said he could not give me the correct medicine because it does not mix with Coumadin. Does anyone know anything about coumadin and any taking say a cherry extract my doctor is not in till Thursday I have had alot of pains over the last 12 years but my bunion you couldnt drop a feather on it. It would be like dropping a hammer down. Any suggestions?
