Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
Do you a lot of liquids thst are sugar free? I drank an enormous amount of diet coke and other artificially sweetened things. Once I cut out the aspertame, it made a world of difference for me! Within two weeks of giving it up, there was a tremendous difference! That may not be the dame for you of course, but it is what helped me.
I have read that there is a connection with colitis and clots, but I don't know much about it. They asked me a number of times while I was in the hospital about my IBS but they never explained the connection.
I feel for you and can relate to what you are going through!!
How is yours now?
I am much better now, thanks. Ever since I gave up the aspertame, everything improved dramatically. I am still not what I would call "normal" but I can lead a relatively normal life with it (pre-PE that is).
If it is taking over your life, I would demand a referral to a specialist. And if he won't do that, my advice would be a new doctor.
This happened at the same time as the PE? Or after? I wonder if it can be related to meds? I don't know much about thst being new to all of the PE stuff.
I now take prilosec every morning and it worked.
