By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
Still not making 5 full days, but doing more. And they have changed our job function and I LOVE it!!! And I feel a tiny bit better every day. And that makes feel good too. I was so frustrated in the first couple months, but you all were right. It DOES get better. I am now allowed to walk around Walmart twice a week and I notice that I am not short of breath as quickly anymore. And the heart rate is coming down. I do, however, still notice that if I work 8 hours, I crash when I get home. And after 5 days, even if they are short days, I need the first day to recover. But all in all, I feel pretty good about my progress. Oh....and I am now "stable" on my Wafarin for month now.
I too need the time off to recover and bank some energy to keep me going but i dont mind too much - i sometimes dont see the improvement i have made until my family remind me of how it was back in october, nov, dec and then i realise its like night and day the difference.
