By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

It seems like the last seven months has gone by so fast. I'm feeling fine and was recently told by my hematologist to go off the Warfarin. Well, that was two weeks ago and I'm still taking it. He said that since all the tests are good: D-dimer, cbc, etc....., I should be able to come off the warfarin and go on 81 mg of aspirin. I suppose I'd like to discuss this with my regular Doc. The Hematologist also said that even though I am positive for the genetic mutation: Factor V Leiden I, I should be able to come off the Warfarin and simply take the aspirin. It's scary for sure. Anyway, everything else is going well except when I get the anxiety attacks: pain in chest, and simply worrying, worrying, worrying. Hope everyone is doing well....

The first Gastroenterologist was trying to counsel me in losing weight. The last time I walked out of his office I cried. Never went back to him as my GP didn't think it was warranted.
