Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
I had 5 good days in a row, then one morning, I woke up feeling woozy and felt that way all day. Went to bed, next morning, fine again. I've decided I need to not just take it one day at a time, but more over, track my progress in ratios of good/bad days. 5 good and one bad doesn't seem like such a big deal. I was able to get through the bad day by thinking "Well, hopefully tomorrow I'll be better." and "One bad day doesn't mean I'm back-sliding. " I also promised myself (and my friends/family) that I wasn't going to worry about one bad day, but if I had 2 or 3 in a row, then it was probably time to call the doc again. That helped put it in perspective and get rid of the "all or none" thinking.
So, don't let the bad ones get you down. Hang in there!
