ok all so i posted my lp results on thursday that it went good my op was 38 and he took me down to 15!!! so since friday around 1 i have been in the worst pain ever!! i called the nurse on call for their office on saturday and she called the neuro and i never got a return phone call. so today after i could no longer get any relief from laying down i went to the ER, i was given some iv pain meds (really good ones!) and a caffine drip...needless to say i feel better..my only problem now is that if i try to look any way other then stright on with my eyes i am in pain. just my eyes, its like if i move them at all it hurts like hell. anyone else get this? i was told to call my neuro tomorrow as he wants to talk with me and that i may still need a blood patch if my headache returns.
My uneducated guess would be that b/c your pressure was high, then low, then went back up.. your nerves are probably sensitive as a result.

It was in my eyes as well. They said, that because of the pain, my blood pressure was reacting to it, and, as a result, was sky high, hence, putting me in to even more pain, with eye pain as well.
Like you, they put me on a drip, for two days while I still had to drink copious amounts of water. They would not do a blood patch, for 7 days. Said, it was a bit too dangerous, and to wait but if not gone by the Fri they would. I went home on the third day, to stay , lying down, with a cold cloth on my eyes and strong painkillers. Thankfully, it got better , bit by bit, and come Fri, all was good again.
I also wore a eye mask, which stopped me moving my eyes, which helped.
By the way, as the pain meds set in, so my blood pressure would drop , to normal.
My eye pain lasted the whole 7 days. Now, my paps are suppose to be better, I am waiting for an eye exam, but have a bad feeling they could be back.
But, like me, could it have been high blood pressure? Not the kind you have all the time but a reactive one? To the pain?
I am glad you are feeling some what better,Its hard, to have to go threw this as well as the usual pains and aches that comes with IIH.
The only way to get rid of the hd is to stay ling down flat. Like me, I bet you are not doing to well at it, being back home.In hospital, it is so much easier. Try your best, for the full 7 days. Its worth it.

The same happened to me after my LP. I also had the wicked low pressure headache. I called the office that did my LP and was told to stay completely flat on bedrest for the next 4 days, for a total of 7 days since my LP.
I stuck to this, only getting up to go to the bathroom, and the pain in my head and my eyes both went away, and I did not have to go in for a blood patch. It was tough to do, but as Cath said, it's totally worth it in the long run.
