Hey all, so I havent been on alot latley, very busy with work, school, and being a mom. So I have got to ask this because it is really starting to bother me.
Has anyone experences constant loose bowels? I know its a hard thing to just put out there but I am noticing I have had loose bowels ever since I started on the diamox back in november. My bowel movements are never completely solid anymore, Its very strange for me because I have never had a problem with loose bowels.
Im so sorry if you may have been eating when you read this.

Hey April, nothing is secret or private with us any more! Good job I think to. One should never be too embarrassed to ask what is or should be, a normal function of our bodies.

As far as I remember , when I was taking Diamox, I had loose stools as you have described.
Its something you should mention to your dr as it can have consequence, like dehydration, upset electrolyte balance to mention a few.They may suggest a change to your diet, to help lessen the problem.

I do remember it was a problem for me, altho the weight loss as a result was a bonus! Cath.

I am on Diamox and have had this problem, too. I developed metabolic acidosis and I never linked it to this. Vomiting, yes. Loose bowels, no.

Nothing is sacred anymore lol (ask my kids) See I had this problem before they had put me on Diamox so for the short timeI was on it, it had the opposite effect on me....or was that topamax....oh hell now i can't remember...ok see this is why i don'tpost asmuch anymore. And of course when I think I am being intelligent i re-read things and have to erase it cause it makes no sense! lol......................back to subject....wish i had something to offer but I think everyone else is right, doesnt hurt to call the doc. diamox is a nasty pill. take care!

When I did take a regular dose of diamox 2500 mg a day, I had this issue. It also gave me a LOT of gas. As a teacher not to fun, thank god I have a prep room I could run to! I could not tolerate the diamox, it made me so sick, vomiting, flu like symptoms etc and so now I only take 250 mg a day and things are back to normal.

See there, now I added gas. We are on a roll!
