The doctors may say its rare, or that it suggests a different pathology, but I say its healing???????? How do we know the manifestations of it while paps is forming? Maybe in the beginning befire its found and forming it is unilateral, then when its found its bilateral?
Just my crazy thoughts, I am no doctor so what do I know.
Anywho, glad to hear of it healing in the one eye, keep us info'ed on his opinion, btw, what did he tell you he is gonna look for now, if anything?

I thought the same thing about the healing... but he seemed to really have no answers except no eye damage at this point which makes me happy. He said it takes a long time for paps to turn into eye damage so I guess time will tell

I have had more papilledema in my right eye than left eye from the time they diagnosed in Oct 2011 until now. (Is this what you are calling paps?) The swelling is going down in both eyes for me. My left optic nerve is almost normal but still some swelling in the right, although it is a lot less than it was. So, the fact the swelling is going down is a good sign. I also hear things in my right ear but not in my left ear. I was on diamox, lasix and topomax but they have removed diamox due to too many side effects.

When I was first diagnosis I have only a trace of paps in my right eye and the left eye was at stage 2. Now the right eye is healed and the left eye only have a trace left. I know the paps in my left eye was there longer because my vision in that eye has been affected. The right eye is still normal. Well at least I think it is. My doc want me to have it check again in a month to be sure.
