I know I have been MIA lately, so just wanted y'all to know I have not forgotten you all! I would never do that. You all are very important to me and have been here through all of my questions and venting for the past few months I have been here, so this is my word that, even though I hope to always *fingers crossed* be in remission, I will not be abandoning this group! I am going to be catching up today. :)
I wanted to let you all know that today marks day six of no headaches while on Topamax. Today I have increased the dose to 50mg twice a day.
So my recommendation to anyone who is going to start Topamax, or has had success with headache relief, but side effects, is to start with a low dose, 25mg at bedtime, for a week, then 25mg at morning and bedtime for a week, then 50mg morning and bedtime from then on! Seems to be working wonders for me...and I am a very difficult case! ;)
And also, no seizures still. I did, however, get a call this past week that stating that my neuro group has been discussing my case and wants to get an EEG on me before I see my neurologist again (in January, so no rush). This is just a routine one. Well, I guess an EEG is not really routine, but you catch my drift. It's not going to be a huge pain in the bum! :)

Yes! That is a great part about it! Topamax being at a fairly low dose still and working is a great thing. :)
And seven days to me is a HUGE thing. Especially seizure wise!!! Headaches - I could have learned to deal with them again - if I HAD to. Seizures? I will absolutely NEVER get used to them. Ever. Those are terrifying. And I do not have a memory of what goes on during them at all! Ack. :(
