This is an interesting TED Talk in which a dermatologist, Dr. Weller, highlights the benefits of nitric oxide from the sun (and foods), yet for some of us that are "broken" and appear to have nitric oxide sensitivity, there is the flip side which remains unmentioned. Balance.

I still love the sunshine, and my melanin has now built up more this season, and that helps although there is a weakness (and increased risk of worsening of headache) that I can feel when out in the sun for too long, which again fascinates me since multiple sclerosis is associated with elevations of nitric oxide, and those with MS can grow weak in the sun as well. No, I don't have MS.
loveyalot, I hope your garden grows well. You may want to avoid the heavy nitrate fertilizers though. Consider what I mention about nitric oxide with caution as this may not apply to you, but best be aware in case it does.
