I get sick, but not as much or as violently as before.
I am taking an antacid med, full time now as all the meds etc set off my ulcer again.
For me, the only thing that works, for everything is, pain meds. Stopping the pain before I get to that point. But, I am so lucky that my neuro agrees with me about it and allows me to take pain meds.
But, you do not have to suffer with this.Go and see your dr, and explain how bad things are. There are so many safe meds on the market now to stop or at least help with this.
If, its a low pressure then you must go and see someone as you are in danger of getting dehydrated. Maybe you are already? As you are feeling so bad? A few days on a saline drip could really turn you around to feeling so much better.
Go and see a dr, Jazzy. I hate to think of you feeling so bad. You have been thru this enough. Cath
Thank you for making me see that I should hook up with my Neuro Dr. again.
Hope you are well, you made me feel not so lonely.
I'm really scared of doctors and hospitals, so I'm trying to avoid visits as much as possible since I have a line up of 7 different apts already set up.
Thanks in advance : )
I know how it feels to go to so many Dr's, and the thought of surgery, again, scares me. But I know that I can feel better since it has worked before so that is giving me hope. I would def. talk to a Dr. if you are throwing up. sorry you are going through that, I hate throwing up, but I've seem to got the knack of it down (well up really, pun intended), lol. Many Blessings.
Mine were very high pressure h/as. What is strange that you metion, and I alsmost asked this previuosly, was when I was younger, I used to get VERY bad h/a's that no one could diagnose. They would always try and pawn them off as cluster migraines of course, but none of the meds ever worked.
The only relief I could ever get was by making myself purge. I am by no means a bulmic nor do I make myself vomit at any other time, other than when I cannot control my pain.
Now, when I reach a point of now return.. with pain.. I find it odd that vommiting will instantly relieve my pain.
Jazzy - I have boughts of severe nausea, but only throw up once in awhile. It sometimes comes along with severe stomach pain. I have medication to help with the nausea and it helps with the stomach pain, too. It's some of the same stuff they give to cancer patients, and it works pretty well. Throwing up makes my headaches MUCH worse.
Diamox hurts my stomach, so I'm on long-term antacids (like pepsid), and I make sure I take the Diamox with food. I don't think the diamox is the entire reason I'm having stomach problems. I don't understand the nausea and the relation to my headaches.
I asked my husband, who is a nurse, and he thinks because the vagus nerve is stimulated it causes vasoconstriction thus your pressure is lowered (like the effect of caffiene, though caffiene has never helped me).
Still throwing up daily, even with the new med (Zofran) which is for cancer pt's.
I can't tolerate diamax so not having side effects from that.
I still feel instantly better after I throw up, the one time I had a migraine I found the same thing to be true.
OMG Nurse, a seizure and all those months of vomiting. I feel for you. It sounds like it finally resolved (at least I hope so).
