HI EVERYONE, SO I HAVE A QUESTION, I AM VERY FRUSYRATED RIGHT NOW! I HAD MY FIRST LP ON 10/27/10 WHEN I WAS DIAGNOSED, SINCE THEN MY HEADACHES WERE VERY SPERATIC AND WERE ALOT LET PAINFUL. TODAY MAKES THE 4TH MORNING THAT I HAVE WOKE UP WITH A POUNDING HEAD, AND MAJOR WOOSING IN MY EARS. SO IS IT POSSIBLE THAT MY FLUIDS HAVE JUST NOW RETURNED TO BEING HIGH? THIS REALLY SUCKS, JUST WHEN I WAS STARING TO THINK THE DIAMOX WAS WORKING.
The longer your symptoms stay at bay after an lp, is a good indication that a shunt will be able to do its job for you.
On the other hand, it could be the weather.How is your barometric pressure do you know?
Also, it could be good old stress, being Christmas week.
Maybe, if you can, with small children, take a nice bath, get some one to give you a nice massage, turn off the TV, turn on the Christmas lights and just relax. Sometimes, those 20mins rest can make you feel half human again!
I rest my head, twice a day. If I didn't,I couldnt get threw the day.
I have , on occasion, taken an extra Diamox, when my hds were really bad. I didnt have permission to do this but it helped.
May be we can see how many more of us have tried this, with success?

I also thought Diamox was working well, only had a couple minor headaches since starting it.
I had a horrible HA last night and eye pain...
It does suck...
