the dreaded diet

Okay I am losing weight on the Diamox. 8 lbs so far along with eating healthy. I have not been able to work out very much as activity causes my headaches to go nuts. I have been to a dietician to understand healthy carbs and proteins along with how to add veggies and fruits to my diet. My questions is has anyone explored prescription diet pills? such as Belviq or Qsymia?

No, not personally. But as a nurse, weight loss pills scare me. If a person needs badly to lose a large amount of weight and is unable to achieve it through dietary changes, I actually would feel more comfortable with the risks of surgery than pills. To be fair, I am no expert at either of these meds. Here's a link I found:

Qsymia seems to get better safety recommendations. Interestingly, it is composed of two drugs, and one of them is Topamax! Could have an impact on your IIH then, and presumably carry all the lovely cognitive side effects people complain about.

thanks for the information; interesting that Qsymia has topamax in it. About the cognitive side effects I already am suffering from that symptom prior to any medication treatment, especially after a severe headache.
