So, I'm confused. My opening pressure had gone down to about 16 a few months ago. Today it's back up to 19. I think Mary or Sophia'smom tried explaining this to me before.. But do we add like 10 to the opening pressure? I can't remember. Sorry guys. Thanks for the info.

when they do it with you laying on your side, they take the number the fluid level goes up to. when they do it with you laying on your stomach, they have to add 6 cm which is the length of the needle.
do you have a VP shunt? I'm not sure that what your doc said makes sense to me. and I don't know enough about how you have been feeling lately to know if that is warranted. how much did they drop your ICP when they did the LP and did you feel better at that pressure?
I'm not sure that anything really changed. ICP can vary depending on many factors. what time of day was it when the LP was done? how bad was your sleep apnea the night before and did you sleep on your back or propped up, what was the barometric pressure and had it recently changed, etc?
