please tell me this isn't true or that I read it wrong....I am sharing the link below but it states that 86% of IIH patients experience vision loss. That seems high. Could they be including those who see spots or are they talking total vision loss?

Vision loss is not always necessarily permanent, so I believe that statistic is referring to the wide range of visual disturbances that occur with IIH. It goes on to say that without treatment "about 10 percent of patients with IIH suffer severe vision deficits and 5 percent lose all sight in one or both eyes". Which is kind of reassuring because both of those are relatively low percentages and that's without treatment, if you are treating the IIH I can imagine that total vision loss is highly unlikely.
