Hi everyone! I'm new to this site. I've been looking all over for support and advice until I finally stumbled upon this site while trying to find a headache specialist. I am so happy that I did. I felt like I was in this alone but now although I have met any of you it's so refreshing to know everything I'm experiencing is part of the illness and not just me losing my mind. (Although I feel like it from time to time.) I am a single mother of 3 boys without any support. My mother tries to help but she has her own problems, and besides she doesn't understand. I'm currently on 1000 mg of diamox, 100mg of topamax, 40mg celexa plus the pain meds which I try not to take because I have a hard time functioning as it is. Now I feel like my vision is getting worse and at times I'm so ready to just give up but I can't because I care for my kids too much.
I must admit tho I'm not spending as much time in the er for pain management. I just feel that I need support right now and to find a specialist in my area that knows something about this condition and not experimenting with my life. So if anyone has information on a dr. close to central il please let me know.
