I've been sick on and off for at least 9 weeks. It's way worse than normal. I had surgery about then, was doing better but now I'm not. I feel like all I can do is sleep. I've been running low grade fevers on and off, and my throats killing me again. They said it was a sinus infection a few weeks ago but now it's back. Could it be the iih? Could it be something more? Does anyone have a cpap machine here?
I have to make sure I disinfect my cpap with vinigar once a week and make sure it's filled with water every night, otherwise I get clogged sinuses and a cracked, bleeding nose, sore throat. When I'm sick I disinfect it every day. But I don't think a dry nose, mouth, and throat would be related to low grade fevers. I guess an infection from not disinfecting the water chamber, hose, and mask might be.
Go back to your doctor. Ask him what he sees up there that makes him think it is an infection. You should have great green globs coming out if you feel that awful and it's due to sinuses. Really, nail him down. Also call your NS. Tell him how you are feeling.
The sleep issue can DEFINITELY be IH. Could be the pressure, could be the meds (or removal of the meds).
