Hey I know some people have talked about diet, and how it has helped their IH. I have read that people have had success with shakeology with migraines. I was wondering if anyone has tried it? It is vegan and supposedly helps with weight loss. Not sure if it is worth a try, or if I'm grasping at straws!

I say anything helps try it, if anything you'll end up with some kind of good health with all the fruits and vegetables our body needs those things, so if you do try it please let us know how it works out

Hmmm....never heard of Shakeology and when it comes to diets that are on the extreme side, I am always wary if they are not supervised by a physician...rapid weight loss does have it's own risks, and nutrition is always a concern. Here is a link to a physician/nurse practitioner rapid weight loss plan that does provide proper nutrients, and supervision (EKGs, occasional bloodwork, exercise guidance, peer support)
This program was offered at a hospital in my state years ago...I lost 110 lbs and I kept it off for 11 years until I became sick 3 years ago and have had an unexplained weight gain...feel free to ask questions if you are interested :)

I would be very careful with rapid weight loss. better to do it slowly. I crashed right after losing 10-15 lb rapidly. I did not recover until I had jaw surgery over 3 years later. after watching the IHRF conference on DVD, I learned that rapid weight loss leads to sudden release of stored vitamin A, which can cause problems in IIH. I had been taking vitamins for years and had a lot of stored vitamin A.

With Shakeology it looks similar to any meal replacement program combined with a workout program. I had a lot of luck with the sugar free slimfast 1-2 meals a day and then a reasonable meal in the evening. There are a number of nutritionally balanced shakes/meal replacements out there... just try them to see if you like them, if they work for you and your lifestyle and if you can sustain them in your lifestyle. Just keep trying options until you find one that works for you! Good luck and let us know how they taste :)
