Hi all!! Good news for me my appointment at a close by University Hospital has been moved up to next week due to a cancellation! I need advice as to how much info I give this new guy. Do I tell him about every test and theorized diagnosis? Or is it better to leave him to make his own conclusions based on my symptoms and my MRI and his own exam? I'm really hoping he will try again for a pressure no one even under fluoroscopy has been able to get one. Is there a way to get a pressure reading other than a LP?

Have you ever retrieved an OP? What's happened to prevent getting an OP? Do they get any fluid at all? Or have they all been dry taps?
There are several different ways to do an LP, but be sure to ask about how the position (lateral, sitting, prone) affect the OP & CP readings. There are several discussions on this board about position vs. OPs. The only other ways I know of to get pressure readings involve either an extended lumbar drain or an intracranial bolt monitor -- both quite intense.
I should think that without an OP on record, that doc would want one before even attempting to DX and move forward.
