Its odd that you don't have a worse hd, that would indicate a low pressure hd, meaning the shunt is not at the correct level .
Could it be just your body adjusting? I've read several posts from people who had to wait a week sometimes two, for it all to settle down.
But I would still call the neuro and see whats up. You have had enough trouble to know when something is not right.
Are you still taking Diamox? maybe you need to up it a bit? But a dr must prescribe that.
About your fields vision test, I have yet to " pass" one! I know the paps in my left eye have finally healed,( after 4 years) but still have them in my right.But my vision has improved so much in the last few months so don't lose hope. It can all still come right. I was also off all drugs when this improvement took place. Odd huh?
I think you are understandable nervous and need to get an answer from your neuro. Cal, get the info and then relax. It will be ok.Its just another bump in out IIH road. Take care of yourself , Cath.
I am still on the pain pill Dilaudid 2mgs every 4 hrs.
& Depakote 250 mgs 3 x a day for the migraines
& Fioricet every 4 hours as needed , I do take it every 4 hrs.
My Neuro is worried he put a speed up on the Evoked eye test , I had it done Thurs it didnt look good it still is showing loss , so NO I guess I didnt pass it .. I did get copies of all of them I thought I had more done however I had my 1st After being DX'ed April 22,2010 ,, my 2nd in AUG 2010, my 3rd Dec.7 2010 and last thurs.
Each of them worse after the last..Do you have copies ? I'm gonna hook my scanner up and put up a copy on my pics to show what they look like ...
I've never really asked my eye Doc. if ( I HAVE PAPS ) he's always just told me yes your optic nerve is swollen or that it's come down not so swollen..or it dont look bad today.. so frustrating to feel like I'm back at square one , I guess I expected more from the Shunt and I was so wrong... confusing to be feeling this way it just dont feel right ,not really sure what it is I just know something dont feel right ....
