Hoping you are feeling better today

One thing I have tried to do to make things a little easier for me is that I make some meals and freeze them and the nights I'm not feeling especially up to cooking - mainly because it makes me so nauseas is that I have these meals to then unthaw. Even if its just cooking the taco meat ahead of time and then freezing it, or having a lasagna in the freezer that you can thaw out. Many things freeze well and it works out for me in a pinch. I figure its better than a pizza or takeout and since my husbands stomach is very finicky this often is not an option.
Hope today is better for you and the little one on its way!

If you haven't had a REAL talk with your husband he may not understand what you are going through. This happened with my husband and I last fall. We actually ended up in my therapist office and I let it all out and completely broke down. He really did. Not understand the depth of my pain until that day. Since he has become a changed man and is in charge of most household duties. I know he gets tired and I try to help, but I am lucky he is someone with a lot of energy and ambition. Now that I just had my second surgery in 2 months it's been all him and he has taken over without complaint and taken my kids on all sorts of trips we would usually do as a family. Enough about me, your husband maybe just doesn't understand the seriousness of the situation. And really, how could anyone if they haven't been there?
I really feel for you with the pregnancy and PTC. I had horriblen pregnancies without fit, then again maybe that was when it started.
I hope you are able to find a workable work situation. Even work some days from home?
Best of luck and big hugs
Amy
i work for a really small company we have no coverage for me to be out that long when i go out for 6weeks we will lose 6K at least in income because all i get is NYS disablity which is 150 a week. we have that 6 weeks figured out as i had my husband take out student loans he didnt need to help out on bills during that time. But i have talk to him he knows i am sick he as seen it all i have been in bed number of times from it and i have even worked from home on bad days that i dont think i can sit at work. Problem is because i work for a small company i cant do that often being that i have to be here to answer phones. my husband knows my problem but some times i feel he doesnt understand it 100% as he gets frustrated with me not able to do things to help out. I was told i had PTC about 4 months after i met him before that i had no clue what was wrong with me. We have gone through a lot since we been together medically for me. he been to all my dr appt since i found out what i had. I think its just frustrates him because there things he wants to do sometimes i cant do with him. then it upsets me for not being able to be the person i want to be for him and my kids. I know he doesnt know how to cook i really need to get him cooking lessons then things would be easier. I also know its hard on him because he has PTSD which there days he doesnt want to be around anyone at all. things just aren't as easy as i wish they be anymore. I go to so many dr appt i am still surprised i have a job. its stressful having an illness and being the only one with an income in the house. there days i wish i could take time off just to sleep and rest my eyes but i know i have to help put a roof over our heads and food on the table. I cant wait for him to finish school so i can maybe relax alittle more. maybe even cut my work hours alittle. but until then i am needed at work to help my family out. Thank you for your support.
Maybe you could talk to your husband about how you just don't have anything left after work to continue with the kids and meals and pets. Maybe you could could simple meals while he keeps the boys busy or walks the dog, that way you could split up thoses duties. Maybe this could be a temporary situation until you are able to get medical help for your condition. Sorry I'm just throwing stuff out there. Our situation was opposite because I was stay at home by the time my husband got home and we had dinner I was curled up in bed holding my head. And it was frustrating for him, until he saw me continue to decline and at times could open my eyes or speak coherently.
I hope it has just helped you to get some things off your chest because I know I can't really help you. my personal opinion is that it is harder tot ake care of the kids than put dishes away etc. maybe depending on how exhausted you are and how rambunctious the kids are ;) sometimes its easier to snuggle with a movie and they know you are still spending time with them, but I found I had little patience and my head hurt to much to wrangle them into getting ready for bed and dressing and washing and reading books. That job has fallen to my husband.
Talk to your husband about how you can split up the duties for the next month based on your individual abilities and then you may both be more clear about what you expect from each other and work more like a team. The guilt is hard. And it is hard to ask for help. I've gotten better at it this year, because frankly I haven't had any other choice. It was never something that I did before getting sick.
I have rambled on here more than enough. I feel for you and I hope your health improves as you know that last couple of months of pregnancy are the most taxing!
I wish you luck and peace for you and your husband.
