Hi all. So after leaving the hosp, I'm scheduled to meet with my dr's. Starting with the eye doc, he says theres not any sign of permanent damage & my neuro should look into vp before the vision loss causes permanent damage. Then my neuro sent me to my pain dr that believes the high pressures is almost impossible to treat unless we can get it under control. He doesn't think my body is reacting to the diamox & believes my dr should also look into the vp shunt. Tomorrow I visit with my neuro, I wonder what he has to say? Guess its time to face it.
Know that you always have choices. Ask your doctors for all the different alternatives and their pros and cons so you can make an educated decision. Also ask them at what point it would become urgent to do something quick. Take your time, it's a big decision. Is someone coming with you to your appointments to help you ask questions, take notes, and remember the doctor's answers?
