My guy vigoursly massages the shoulder to include the blades, believe it or not that iss my trigger point afte he gets done the headache is gone, there is a spot on the right shoulder blade that causes those headaches. Then i alternate heating pad and ice on that whole shoulder area.
I hope u feel better and soon!
Thanks again!
One thing I will say, If you are experiencing chest pain you need a doctor to check you out NOW to rule out a problem with your heart. Even if you aren't on diamox, bad pain can make you eat and drink out side of your normal patterns, causing your electrolyte balances to be off and that can cause cardiac issues. I know it sounds a little alarmist but chest pain or pressure or something that feels like chest cramps shouldn't be ignored. Or better yet, call you hospital's nurse hotline and ask what To do. It's free and they are actual medical professionals, unlike me, who is not.
As for HA pain, I try to recline about 30 degrees in a cool dark quiet room, keep still, use ice on my neck and head and a heating pad on my back, drink water so I'm not dehydrated, and eat at least a little when I can. Mild dehydration can help IH headaches, but moderate to severe dehydration can make everything so much worse. I also have pain meds that I only take when things get to be a 9-10. I can also go into my doctors office and get an IV of something. It doesn't help a ton with pain but it puts me straight to sleep. Thats almost as good.
I hope you feel better soon.
Also, I'll tell you that one problem I have with headaches and pain is that I change my posture; hold my shoulder up and in, kinda fold into myself and get cramps all over. That makes all the pain worse. I have to make myself relax my shoulders, use heat, sit in quiet and dark, and try to unwind. No easy task. But this is something my neurosurgeon's office taught me and I catch myself all the time crunching my shoulders up, etc. I wouldn't have caught myself doing this if the doctors office had not coached me on this cycle of causing more pain.
I hope you are feeling better today. but if not, you should probably get that checked, especially if you are having new visual symptoms. you don't want to let that go. maybe go to ER but you may want to see ophthalmology this week.
Luckily most of the visual things have went away. Unfortunately the same can definitely not be said about the pain in my head...I'm drinking lots of water, eating what I can, and sleeping as much as possible. And waiting, hoping this will ease up sooner rather than later.
Thanks to you and everyone else for their kind words and advice!

it doesn't take much hypoventilation in sleep to increase ICP.
