I am so sorry. I know the feeling all too well. I am facing homelessness at the end of this month if things don't turn around.
I left home when I was 14 and lived in my car on and off then, but when you are 14, you are young and stupid enough to think it's cool.
I only wish we lived closer so we could maybe be roommates and share expenses.
I wish you the best and pray that your luck turns for the best very quickly.

Many areas have a ministerial alliance with ways to get help. I am not suggesting you call each church and ask, but when there is a ministerial alliance several churches are banded together and they often have resources for emergency situations.
Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc. if you have a chapter of one of these in your area they may be able to help or at least point you in the right direction.
Thrift stores (including the Salvation Army), many of these are ran by churches either involved with the community or have additional resources - again, they may not be able to help specifically but they may be able to point you in the right direction.
I am not suggesting you call all of these people and try to "get the best deal." To be honest, many skeptics sit on these boards and run these places; however, be truthful and real. I admit, I've had people call and ask me questions and tell me stories that were terrible and while some parts were true, when I asked more specific questions their story fell apart. I am NOT saying this to discourage you, but to let you know these people have literally heard it all. These people love to serve others or they wouldn't be there, I promise they aren't there for the big paycheck!
Keep us updated and if you have any questions about this very long and drawn out comment just let me know, while I'm having troubles today, it only seems to slow me down some more.
Praying for you,
Kristena
I'm wondering, is the United Way National?
I know in my state I can dial 211 and a United Way Rep will answer and help with emergency utility bills, an occasional motel room, doing the leg work on a bed in a shelter, locating food banks, etc...
Raindew,
I would also go to your local Dept of Human Services ASAP. Because you are homeless you will go straight to the top of the low income housing list and be eligible for housing assistance. You will receive emergency food stamps, and possibly temporary cash to hold you over until your permanent benefits kick in. Human services should also be able to direct you to a longer term shelter if there are any, and get you started applying for SSDI and Medicaid if you qualify.
If you can, keep posting, and we'll keep brain storming
Best, LuLu
