Memory loss & Diamox

I've been on 500mg of Diamox per day for about a week now. I'm tolerating it pretty good so far. However, I've noticed (my family too) that my memory is horrible since I began taking it. Has anyone else experienced this while on Diamox?

I've looked through the past posts on side effects, but didn't see anything regarding memory loss.

That is also a symptom of PTC, so combined with the drug, we are experiencing a "double whammy".

I write stuff down all the time now. I know when my pressure is up when I mix up words and misspell words. You'll see on here that lots of people experience this.

Definitely tell your neuro. Mine did not acknowledge this was a symptom until I brought him a printed out webpage.

I've been off of my dose of diamox for a while now and I have noticed where before I didn't really pick up on it- that my memory is not what it use to be. I use to be able to recall the smallest detail from 3-4 years earlier... Can't anymore, heck- what did I wear yesterday :)
