I have thought of this many times, but I also have a few other major Illnesses.

What I did instead is had my Neuro-Optho write a letter of Basic Care for PTC patients that I had put on file at my local ER, my Internist, and my Psych Doc.

I found this helpful. No more questions like "So, where exactly is this tumor?" And, ER docs can pull up my file and have a general idea about how to treat PTC, the headaches, nausea, etc...

So far so good with the letter...maybe a medical ID bracelet down the road thougn

I think that I should to myself MANY times. I'm single, and fairly independent, like there isn't any one person "taking care" of me. I have two jobs, one of my employers knows about my brain condition, because they gave me the time off when I had brain surgery/recovery, etc, but the other doesn't, and I feel like if anything ever happened to me, no one would know what to tell the doctors. Like, lets say I had a seizure, or went into a come, it'd be kind of important for them to know I have a shunt and what I'm on for meds, you know?
I should get one.

I live alone also and have several conditions and tons of meds...I saw a keychain USB-you fill out your medical history and if you end up in an ambulance or in the ER, First responders can pull up your medical history on any computer...it's $10, and you don't have to wear a bracelet all the time letting every stranger know you have a disease!

I have a medic alert necklace. Emergency personnel are trained to look for medic alert bracelets, necklaces, ankle bracelets.

I read online last night that on lie 100% of patients they found the bracelets and on a lower percentage they found the necklaces. they dont want to dig around in a womans chest if shes passed out...I am curious what you have on yours. Psuedotumor? would that do me any good if I passed out or had a seizure. I just have this fear something is going to happen. I have high blood pressure too
