I'm having shunt surgery at the end of the month and my NS is removing my VP shunt and during the same surgery, is putting in an LP shunt. He said I will be staying overnight in the hospital, but I'm wondering since he is doing both surgeries, how long it will take to recoup. My surgery day is in the middle of the week, so at least I have the weekend as well to recover. I just don't want to go back to work too soon.

That being said, shunt is fine now.
I don't have an answer for you but I want you to know I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I hope this give you the relief you need and that your surgery is a quick recovery. Take the time you need off from work, your body will need it. :)
