lp shunt n disneyland

I plan to take my kids to Disneyland this weekend, and I'm a rollercoaster freak lol would it be wise to go on the rides if I have this Shunt n my back? I know the obvious answer would be no but I'm hoping to hear a yes lol

How long has it been since your surgery and how have you been feeling? I had a low back fusion and was ok a year out. I know it is a totally different surgery.... But I was ok with the whipping around and stuff. Take pain meds with you just in case.

Could you Google it? Or give your dr a call? Something tells me the roller coaster is out but I could be wrong. Still, the are plenty things to do besides the rides. I hope you have a lovely trip! Cath

I wouldn't think it to be a safe bet, but if it were me I would definately call and ask the Dr. because this is most definately something I wouldn't think you would want to risk something major going wrong with.

I just took 6 of my grandkids the begining of this month. We got there at 9:30am and stayed untill 11pm. I went on all the rides and had no problem. I did not even think about the shunt while I was there. I had a blast being a kid with the grandkids. It has been 6 months since i had the shunt put in, and i think you are a few weeks behind me. Go and enjoy and don't think about what if.. Be a kid with your kids..
