Hey all so I finally have my surgery date set..it will be December 26th..yes I know the day after Christmas but for me it works out best because of all the family that will have that week off. I am putting in for 1 week off work with a possibility of more so that there are not suprises if something happens. I am a bit nervous about recovery as i have a 2 year old who really loves mommy and wants to play and jump on me all the time. I know i will not be able to pick him up for a while due to worries of the catheter coming out if i strain any. So all in all i am ready to get this done and hope that it will be everything i am hoping for but i also am keeping in the back of my head that there are chances that this could also lead to a long road of more surgeries and problems.
I understand the timing, and I would agree, you wont ever forget when you had this surgery done!
I know you have a small one to look after but take up all offers of help for the first few weeks,ok?
The anaesthetic seems to knock us off our feet for a few weeks. There are a few weeks involved in the recovery post -op. Take it easy.
