Hey all so my neuro has got me going in on thursday for an Lp. and i read in my paper work that they give me that if my op is high then they will increase the diamox!! what????? im already on 1500mg a day...how high can they go? whats next if my op is high? im kinds nervous too
As for the lp. Ask for some Valium! I always get some. A few weeks ago, when I had mine, I could nt stop shaking, with fear. ( My last lp was the one from hell!) the dr had no problem giving me Valium as he said he would not be able to even do the lp, with all my shaking!
It also helps, for the lying flat part of it. You feel a bit sleepy, a lovely relax feeling but not drugged. You will probably just sleep the few hours away!
It really does help for the lp. Calms you down. ( I cant have local anaesthetic, no pain block, and it gets me threw it)

I told my Dr. about my side effects with Diamox so instead of upping it anymore he added Lasix which doesn't seem to have as many side effects, it just makes you pee a lot. Maybe they could try that.
