hey my name is Lizzy, Im 17 and was just diagnosed with IIH after 3 years of being told it’s all in my head. I have suffered with unbearable headaches and blurry vision. I have only just barley got a spinal tap and that how they decided that was what is. I guess I was just wondering if any one had information they could share on what this is, because all my neurologist gave me was the most basic information, raised spinal fluid levels crushing my brain basically, and that doesn’t sound to great. will they put you on Diamox?
so this started when you were 14? did you use RetinA or Accutane or Minocycline for acne? or birth control pills? those can trigger it. Mirena IUD can also. also, did you have braces? I have my own theory that certain types of orthodontia can decrease tongue space and trigger this.
I hope they can do something to help you feel better now.
