I always drop things and my hand eye coordination is off too. Just the other day I was trying to pour tea in a cup and I missed the cup and made a huge mess!

I have felt very weak and I wonder if it is from my condition or if it is from the diomox. I do not take topamax. I refused that one. The Diomox I believe caused me to feel bad all over. All I know is this has been going on for over a year for me and I feel bad every day. Im weak and tired all the time. They just set a surgery date for my shunt and Im hoping that helps. I am scared but I am going to go through it. Im sorry Im not much help to your question. all I can offer is what I am experiencing.

I don't feel like this all the time but I definitely feel like it if my pressure is up! It can also be a sign of your electrolytes being off (over all tired/weak feeling). Being on Diamox it definitely has the potential to mess with the electrolytes in your body. So really it could be either or just your own bodys response to the stress on yourself.

Diamox keeps our bodies slightly acidic, and can make our potassium low. Both those issues can cause muscle weakness. This has been a big one for me.

Another issue is the pain which can make me feel week.

I hate to admit it but I think a contributing factor for me is the fact I spend so much time trying to hold perfectly still in a reclining position so I don't make my headache worse. My muscles don't get used, so they actually are weaker than they were a few years ago.

One last item - diamox can make you dehydrated, which makes you weak. If you are drinking water like crazy and are still dehydrated ask your doctor to do a blood test, including for sodium. Diamox, Topamax, or Lasix can flush salt out of your body quicker than it is replaced. That causes dehydration. But don't go and eat salt unless your doctor tells you to. Usually they tell you to restrict it in order to help keep csf fluid pressure down.

I also dont use muscles that I used to. I have spent so much time laying down to try and relieve headaches and not trying to get myself worked up because that always makes me feel allot of pressure and the noise in my ear gets inccredibly loud when I exxert myself. I have my surgery Nov 5th and I am going to try to start walking when I recover. Also the diamox made me feel so bad I stopped taking it. But you guys are right about the dehydration. I didnt drink enough fluids and never have been one much to drink allot unless my sugar was high because Im a diabetic also. I still feel very weak allot.
