Sorry to hear you are hurting. Is it more arthritis pain, or IH/headache pain? Perhaps there is something additional you could do to help treat the pain to help get it back to the place you were at before you were off meds for a week? Does heat help (i.e. heating pad or warm bath)? I would also look for a relaxing way to cope with the pain, it sounds funny but when we get in that cycle where we are constantly thinking about the pain and ruminating over it I think it can be harder to break the cycle (and I have totally caught myself doing the same thing, it's human nature). Try distraction (i.e. good movie), meditation, focusing on music, etc. And very gentle movement so your body isn't too stiff from guarding against the pain.
Hope something helps soon!
