Anyone have hyopthyroidism? If so is it primary to IIH? My mother has hypothyroidism and i have not had mine checked in many years, but will demand it be checked soon.

I'm hypothyroid with Hashiomotos Disease.
Its very common and controlled very easily with a pill. I have my thyroid checked every 6 months.
Ask you doctor to check it. If you mother has it then there is a very good possibility that you will also. Many women develop it in their 40's.
I did at 20.

I was diagnosed with Hypothyroid before I was with IH. I know there is a link between them or they said it is common to have it if you have IH.
When my thyroid "went" they my health started to just deteriote. Before I started having problems with my thyroid I was heathly - I don't know if there is any link I just found this strange.

I have hypothyroidism. What's the link between the two? And what do you mean primary/secondary? I think I had IIH before my thyroid issues, or at least before the thyroid issues were really noticeable.

I have just read that it is common for people who have PTC to also have thyroid issues.
Its also common for people with PTC to have alot of other issues as well.
