Do they recommend you also see a neuro-opthamologist? (My dumb doctor said no, after months I found one on my own and the NO said I should have come to see him as soon as I was diagnosed)
What test will be done? MRI, CT, Blood test, Spinal Tap
How often should you follow up?
That's all I can think of for now.
How about putting in to 3 categories?
1) Confirm diagnosis, paps and where your state of health is at the moment.
2)What tests do they need to do and how do they intend to continue with your treatment?
3) What do they see in the future for you? Down the road, is a shunt a possibility? meds, and for how long? What about eye appointments? How often?
Last question, try and find out where they stand with pain medication. If it is positive, get a script that you can fill when you need it , so you dont have to go back to them for it.
Let them know you mean business! Bring a pen and note pad.Have everything written out, clear and easy to read.
Hold your pen in your hand, take notes. Do NOT let them hurry you. This is your time and you need to get all your business done.
If, it comes to it, do not cry! This will only make them leave the room!
Try and keep control until after you finish.
I once refused to get up from my chair with a NS!He was only giving me 12 mins! Oh no, I said, I need more of your time. He got such a shock , he sat down again! I was there for almost an hour. I needed to be, it was when I was first diagnosed.
Now, they know , if I need some extra time, I get it! But, always with respect.
I am sure , between us all, you will get a full list, and be more than ready for the app! Cath..
