I wonder if you could have leaky gut. do you eat gluten? gluten can make the gut leaky and then any food can become something you are sensitive to. what kind of things have you tried to eat for lunch to avoid headache? what do you drink with lunch?

The only thing I ever drink is water. I mean ever. Not even a drop of anything else in over a year.
I'm super paranoid about getting migraines so I only eat 2 things for lunch(not on the same day). Either a half a sub from Publix, which is really bad. Or chicken and broccoli. Its fresh steamed broccoli and chicken breast with no seasoning on either.
What are the other Sx of leaky gut? Do they mimick dumping syndrome in any way?

I don't know why the chicken and broccoli would give you a headache. unless you are sensitive to sulfur. both contain high amounts of sulfur. and if you have a CBS mutation this can lead to increased production of ammonia, which can cause brain swelling. when I was very ill, I could not eat even a bite of chicken or I would be so ill I would feel like I was trying to wake up from anesthesia for 24 hours. allopathic docs know nothing about this. maybe you should try something like Amy's lentil soup for lunch. low protein, lower sulfur, all natural. the Publix sandwich sounds like a bad idea. when I was very ill I would make my own veggie burgers. cooked carrots, celery, zucchini squash, mashed sweet potato, mixed with quinoa and fried in olive oil. this is a low sulfur food. I did not eat animal protein for a year. I am not sure I did well in other ways on that diet, but eating animal protein was a bad idea for my head when I was that sick. I still can't eat eggs, too much sulfur.

if you have malabsorption with the leaky gut, that could give symptoms like dumping syndrome. I used to get diarrhea when I was that ill, but it seemed related to my sleep apnea. the less well I controlled my airway in sleep, the more likely to have diarrhea the next day. multiple times, all morning, then it would finally stop. being basically waterboarded all night is pretty stressful to the body.

Some others have posted in another IIH thread about different symptoms after eating. I am having a hard time navigating this new site or I'd tell you where I saw it. I know I'll feel flushed sometimes after eating and have some of the symptoms I get from exertion if my pressure is out of whack.
