So I have a random question for you all. I was diagnosed with PTC when i was 15 and things seem to get better when I was around 19 and didn't have issues until I was about 22 and I got rear ended from behind and had horrible headaches ever since.

I'm wondering if anyone knows if you have a head injury.... I hit my head on the steering wheel... can that kick start you PTC again? I'm fighting with an insurance company right now because they said well i had the issue before. But this was 2 years ago and since i was fired from my job because i was in so much pain and i had the LP and VP shunts put in.

I'm basically wondering if anyone has seen anything anywhere online that this is possible for it to come back after a head injury?

My first appt with my NO he asked if I had any trauma to the head. I'm sure that any head trauma can cause IH to return. The thing about IH is that you never get over it. You may not have symptoms but it's still there waiting to be activated. I think it would be hard to get the insurance to cover it considering that it was a pre-existing condition. It's really a catch 22 because even though it was there before the accident it wasn't active and the accident is the reason that your IH is back. Your going to have to prove that in order for the insurance to cover it. Good luck.
