Getting scared

I have been having issues getting seen by docs. I was diagnosed with potential iih three weeks ago. Seen my pcp and got a referral to a neuro who I see on Tuesday. saw and opthmologist earlier this week who confirmed edema stating its very mild. No mri yet. I received my new glasses and the right eye can't tolerate the lense. Have a re exam Monday. Scared the vision got worse in three weeks. I have had many people that I should have had mri and lp already. Thinking if re exam says vision is worse I will go to er.

I think that's a good idea! My vision deteriorated quickly, I began having symptoms in September 2013, the vision symptoms began in October and by the end of November my vision was doubled. I was diagnosed with grade 5 papilledema, this is the worst swelling possible. It was noticed late afternoon, so my neuro opthalmologist sent me to the ER and they were able to perform an LP and MRI, so I was diagnosed before the night was over and left on medication feeling significantly better...I left able to see and it wasn't doubled! Today my nerves are no longer swollen, but they don't look normal. I guess kind of like a balloon, you blow it up all the way and then let the air out, it never looks quite the same.

Do pursue this aggressively. Get all the testing and get it fast. Your eyes are nothing to mess with.

I don't have paps, but still have deteriorating vision. I went from 20/20 to needing glasses for near and far sight in 2 years time. My vision fluctuates from day to day so a prescription is tough - since my vision constantly changes glasses make me dizzy. I've settled for now on a collection of reading glasses in every power and I choose which one to wear every day. I just squint when I drive b/c I haven't figured out what to do about distance vision yet.

My color vision is also deteriorating. I don't know what to do about that, or why it's happening. Again, no paps.
