I too despise vomiting! I had hyperemesis (excessive nausea and vomiting) all 9 months I was pregnant and for a month afterward and had to spend a ton of time hospitalized. Now every flu is terrible and I have a constant supply of phenergen that I have to take just to be able to eat.
Just remember, you don't have to put on the brave face in here if you don't want to or feel too tired to do it.
Great big hugs for ya hun!

My only thing is that I had an MRI not too long ago and yes, my shunt was reset afterward, but my anti-siphoning device was not (said it is "fixed" and does not get reset by MRI's) so, just the last few days, I have been a little (not a lot!) skeptical about that. When I have over-drainage, I get sick like yesterday.
I am still so tired and sore...hoping it is a bug, but it just scares me to think that any of that pain could come back. I know it can and for some it has, but I will say I am not anxious to be one of them. And I post it in here because none of my friends understand that. They will say, "you'll be fine!" But they do not understand how hard and painful PTC is to deal with daily! So I just don't go there...
Brandee - I have to keep a brave face on. Even when I was at my sickest, I had a brave face on and made jokes, laughed, etc. If I was to have started to cry, I never would have stopped. So I laugh everything off...this does not mean I do not take anything seriously, trust me, I do...I just do not let others see it. That is just me, though. I will admit that it has made me more of an easy-going and fun person...when I am feeling good! And I took Zofran twice yesterday. Once after I vomited because it was out of nowhere, and the second time was when I took my seizure medicine, before I went to bed. Didn't want to have to get up again to vomit!
Jessie - That is exactly it. No one but you all here understands it. I have been through it. I have been at my worst with it, and my best with it. I know how I felt. I do not want to feel that way ever again! So frustrating... :(
Thanks y'all!
Heather
