Make sure they give you one that fits over your nose, the face mask one is uncomfortable according to my husband. He likes the one that fits over his nose.
I hope this helps you feel better!
SO as far as your concerned, what gives, they really can't being chalking this up to sleep apnea are they? What is going on with your eyes and the drusen? Last I heard you were going for another LP, did you get that done?
Sleep apnea can be very harmful for your entire body. When you sleep you stop breathing for short periods of time. This can cause damage to your lungs, heart, and yes could possibly contibute to IH because oxygen levels drop which reduces blood flow to other parts of your body including your brain. That is why many people do not feel like they get rest at night when they sleep, because their bodies really aren't getting the rest that they need. I don't think that it is what causes IH but it can't make it any better.
My uncle also has sleep apnea and he and my husband can both tell when they use the machine and when they don't. I hope this diagnosis and treatment at least helps you feel a little better with everything else that seems to be going on.
Hope
