Having I have pain but I do get migraines I did go to AI doctor and have all the pressure test and dilating and everything he said he couldn't find anything except that I needed to upgrade my glasses and maybe wear tennis glasses he doesn't find anything wrong with my eyes but I have so many of the symptoms of this that is scaring me he may be missing something haven't got my glasses yet so just wanted to see if someone did go to the eye doctor and have the test and they did not find it right away
Yes I have IIH without having papilledema (swollen optic discs common to IIH) - my diagnosis is confirmed with a lumber puncture with an opening pressure of 38 cm/h2o. it may just be that i have not yet developed pap yet , but so far my eyes are fine.
IIH is not necessarily linked to migraines - although sometimes the headaches are misdiagnosed as migraines. If you are strongly concerned that you may have IIH you would want to speak to your GP about seeing a neurologist and getting an MRI (to rule out other causes) and then possibly a lumber puncture if they thought it was then required.
