GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK LADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kids are kids, we did it to our folks, I was 20 something before I stopped torturing them and then they died too young...................
They will come around, just do what you are doing.

I am just sitting here (((hugging))) you. I am saddened by the news your PCP gave you and for the challenge and guilt you feel about your family. Please give yourself a break. The advice by the members of this board is spot on. You just keep doing what you can. Your daughter will come around and understand. You are an amazing wife, mother, and friend to all of us on the board.
(hugs)

I think you're a superhero. You didn't ask for this - noone does - but you're coping the best you can. You know that in your heart. You have to take care of yourself first, and everything else will find its place. Stay strong!
Love and prayers,
Judie
THis post made me think. How will I be able to function as a mother with this disease? And do I want to have a daughter who will most likely torture me as I tortured my own mother?...!!! To answer my first question I also have a husband who sounds a lot like yours, supports me and does so much. Bless them. What would we do without them. To answer the 2nd question - if I have a daughter who tortures me and puts me through what I did to my mother and what you are now experiencing with your daugther well I guess I will have to deal. I deal with having to face what people think of me now irregardless of what they really know what is going on because they don't. They don't know what is going on in my life and these people don't know what is going on in yours. Hopefully these people/mothers/whoever will just chauk it up as a young girl talking. Although it is painful for you to see this happening and I am so sorry!
I hope you get through this stage and find a way to bond with your daughter through it. Although I know it is hard. Know that we value you so much here on the boards. Your advice and posts are so helpful to us all and bring us so much.
Hugs!
Mandy
